Time, expertise, creativity and compassion are the invaluable gifts Community Link’s volunteers give. Appreciation, service, friendship and making a difference are the rewards.
The following volunteer opportunities are available (but are not limited to):
Activities Assistant Help people with disabilities to participate in fun activities, birthday parties and holiday celebrations. Activities may include games, crafts, music and more. Volunteers are needed to help set up, clean up and assist individuals who have disabilities with participation. Great for Kids, Teens, Adults, Groups
Beauty & Spa Assistant Is your talent in the beauty and spa industry? This position is for you. Light up the face of our individuals by fixing their hair, performing a manicure or hand message. Great for Adults
Childcare Assistant Volunteers will assist with childcare during policy council meetings, which are scheduled for the second Friday of the month at noon. Great for Teens, Adults
Friendship Volunteers Make friends with an individual with disabilities through quality one-on-one visits spent working on crafts, playing games, reading, going for walks or any number of activities they and their friend choose. Great for Kids, Teens, Adults, Groups
Work Up A Sweat Use your talents to paint a classroom, hallway, and restroom or even stain outside swings for individuals with disabilities to enjoy their surroundings. Great for Adults, Groups
Lunchroom Assistant Spend lunch time assisting to set up lunches and/or with one of our individuals to assist in feeding. Great for Adults
Like To Cook Prepare or provide a meal for one of our homes or one of our 3 training facilities. A volunteer may also help at a training facility when we BBQ for lunch. Use your culinary talents to enrich the taste buds of individuals with disabilities. Great for Adults, Groups
Entertainment Come to a holiday party and provide entertainment in the form of musical instruments, singing, story telling, etc. Great for Kids, Teens, Adults, Groups
Reading Buddy Volunteers are needed to read to a child or an adult either individually or in a group setting. Enrich the lives of our individuals by reading them poetry, fiction, non-fiction, current events, etc. Great for Kids, Teens, Adults
