Early Intervention

Encouraging Families Growth

Early Intervention Program specializes in pediatric therapies for children ages birth to three. Children that have difficulties or disabilities in one of the following areas of development may benefit from our services:

  • Speech and language
  • Cognition
  • Self help skills
  • Socialization/Behavior
  • Motor skills

The program has Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Developmental Therapists and Psychological services in Clinton, Washington, St. Clair, Madison, and surrounding counties.

Our Family-centered approach supports the family’s ability to meet their needs and the needs of their child. Services are provided in natural settings such as the child’s home or child care facility. Case Coordination services are offered to families to assist with housing, adult education, job finding, advocacy, referral and linkage to other resources.

The program supports the parent-child relationship and recognizes that the parent knows their child the best and is the first and most important teacher for their child. Parent training, support groups, field trips, and inclusive play groups are offered.

The target population for Community Link’s Early Intervention program is individuals who are Birth-3 years of age with a developmental disability or delay. Screening, referral, and eligibility determinations are made by a local Illinois Child and Family Connections office.

If you are concerned about your child's development, contact the Disabilities Service Coordinator at DebraB@commlink.org for a free developmental screening.
