In August 2008 Community Link began its “Go Green” campaign with the opening of a drop off center for the recycling of cardboard, aluminum, paper and plastic. Since then Community Link has expanded its efforts to include curbside service in Breese and business pick-up in Clinton County and surrounding area. This effort currently employs 11 people with disabilities. Items accepted are cardboard, paper, newspaper, aluminum, plastic and books. Download the list (115KB PDF) of acceptable recyclables. Recycling ServicesCommunity Link's recycling services include: Curbside Services, services are within the City of Breese. Cost for this service is $7.50 per quarter and includes one recycle bin. Bins are picked up weekly. Sign up today by filling out the form (73KB PDF) and drop off or mail to Community Link, Business Recycling, services are within Clinton County and the surrounding area. Businesses can schedule weekly pick-up services or call for on-demand services. Businesses who want to sort their items prior to pick-up will be given 95 gallon bin(s) for this purpose with no additional cost. Cost per pick-up is $10.00. Drop-off Center, we currently have drop-off centers for residents in Beckemeyer, Germantown and Damiansville. Recycling Trailer Rental, the trailer with sorting bins can be rented for events for a donation of $50.00 per event.
